Introducing Me

This is me. I promise I'm not vain.

Hello, everyone. I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to my shiny, new blog. I couldn't be more excited to begin this new journey. This is something that I have wanted to do for so long now but I just haven't been able to find both time and patience to actually follow through. But now I have and as such, thereagles has been born.

The main purpose of this introductory post is to tell you all a little bit about me. If you decide to start following this blog, and it would make me really happy if you did, you will be taken on a journey through my greatest passions. So I'd like to break these down for you.

In case the blog's title has confused you, my name is Rowan Eagles. I like the way my names sound combined, hence the title. I am a writer, currently based in the beautiful Forest of Dean however life is always changing and maybe by this time next year I will be somewhere else entirely. One of the purposes of this blog is to share some of my writing as well as discuss my own ideas and feelings about being a writer in this day and age.

Something else I'd like to showcase on this blog is my opinions on certain things happening in society. This goes from reviews on films all the way to my thoughts on major news stories. One of my main drives is to share my feelings on things going on in the world and hopefully provoke a discussion. There's nothing wrong with a little debate, right?

I guess you could also call this blog a lifestyle blog. I'm really into baking and all things home so, who knows? Maybe you'll find something like that on this blog.

In any case, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read my very first post and I'm hoping you will consider sticking around.
