My Favourite Ways to Embrace Autumn

This is easily my favourite time of the year. The leaves are falling off the trees in some many beautiful shades, the smell of bonfire smoke is in the air and I spend most of my evenings curled up inside. There are plenty of things you can do to truly embrace the fall spirit but I want to tell you about my favourite things to do at this time of year.

Bulk buy scented candles

Scented candles are one of my favourite parts of autumn. I love burning them in the evenings as they make the house seem so cosy. Not only that but they make it smell so good too. My personal favourite is cinnamon

Baking

I love baking at this time. Since Christmas is just around the corner, it gives me an opportunity to come up with potential edible gift ideas. I also find it incredibly therapeutic. Plus, is there any better way to come in from the cold but to the smell of a cake baking in the oven? I think not.

Autumn walks.

I'm lucky enough to live in an area that is so pretty in the fall. This is the perfect time to put my boots on, put the dog's lead on and go out to kick some leaves. There really isn't many better things to do right now.

Watch a good movie

In my opinion, the best thing to do is to curl up on the sofa with a hot chocolate and watch a movie. Some of my favourite autumn picks are any Harry Potter film, a cheesy rom-com like The Holiday or anything on Netflix. Whatever your taste is, you can be sure this is the best way to chill out during autumn.
